Here's a little guide about how to process you pictures to get the most pleasing skin tones.

It's a lot harder than you think to get pleasing skin tones!

This tutorial has helped me a lot... but instead of using a curves adjustment layer I used a color balance andjustment layer, it worked OK. Thanks for sharing!

It will work too. However with that method it might be harder to adjust the tones of difficult intensities, like bright midtones (but not highlights).

By using curves you won't be trying to "balance" colour, but you'll be "adding" colour. This makes it slightly more flexible, however harder to use...

This is no good to me because I never make portraits, but for the people who are passionate about it I think it's really cool. Especially the explanation of the different cultures. Tanned white have more yellow than magenta? That just sounds funny
