Oh the joy of computer editing! You did a mighty fine job. Kinda hard to see the original now.

I honestly have to admit I like the artwork as she was in the original comic better than in IFS. By the time J.V. was doing work on IFS, he was already migrating into a more Invader Zim look, which is really cool for what it is, and it reflects better on a comic as from Devi's POV... but when seen from Nny's POV, nobody's really that attractive.
He sees a world full of gnomes and crackheads, and in a world populated in such a way, she's comparatively pretty, in a realistic kind of way, but not like a supermodel- she's more mysterious than that, and I think that's one of the things that draws him in. He likes her because she's interesting, and she has a compelling facial structure, one with no frills, to go along with it. Maybe I'm just overanalyzing, but I think the way she looks (and the way the world looks) in IFS is the way Devi sees herself (and the world), and if she were any more superficially attractive than she was in JTHM #2, it probably would have been a put-off for Nny.
But excuse my little rant, it's no critique on your job at all. For what you're trying to do, you did an awesome job. It's a fairly seamless merger of the two worlds, and not everyone could probably pull it off. Keep at it!
