Description Well...this is from some time ago. Back in the 90s, TENCHI MUYO! was just great stuff. The original series is still the best (to me, anyway), and my favorite character has to be Ryoko.

This was done for the Fan Art gallery in the late, great ANIMERICA (in it's original magazine format). It's completely traditional--pencils, pen and ink, markers and acrylics. Not sure if scanned well, but...

It is an old one, but it's a personal favorite of mine. Enjoy and comment!

Oh snap, I just noticed this was indeed drawn over ten years ago. That means ten plus years of skill into a new Ryoko picture would be pretty great!

Again, top notch, and if you do decide to draw another Ryoko work, I'd love to see it!

Thanks! It's also one of the few works I've done using traditional tools, which made it a real learning experience as well.

Thanks! I went on a Ryoko kick a few years back, when all I seemed to do was draw her and her alone...never figured out why. And she seems perfect for the snowboarding crowd, so...

Can't argue with that. There was just something about her that put her above all the female charas in Tenchi Muyo...and for the life of me I can't figure out what it was! I've done more fanart with Ryoko than any other Tenchi character--including Tenchi himself--and I wouldn't mind doing another someday...
