This young female was one of my picks of her litter; however, I decided on her because of her independent nature and ability, and desire, to solve problems. She is highly intelligent and easily picks up both good and bad habits. She is developing well but she is still only 4 months old; I snapped a picture of her before the awkward stage. As you can see, she has good angulation, good head, and clearly a rectangular shape, good topline, good tailset (could be lower), with a strong front and hind end. Her color is called "black brindle" within the breed, but in other breeds it is known as reverse brindle. Genetically, it is a fawn base with black brindles, but she is so heavily marked with brindle that it appears like the fawn is brindling the black, but it isn't. Brindle is a pattern that, in this breed, comes in black and blue. Sometimes, it can come in "red" or "liver" but it is controversial.

She is spirited, doesn't like strangers very much, but is learning to accept them when they are friendly. I believe she is going to be a beautiful guardian, aloof (suspicious), like her sire. Her dam is actually pretty friendly and not quite as much in protection mode all the time like some of my other Corsi. That temperament carried Shamar's temperament to the next generation. Zakhar's blood in the works.

She is half sister to Zaccaro and Adora who are both heavily linebred on Zakhar , one of my foundation males, who was EXCELLENT in all aspects. This breeding of Shamar to Torrent that produced Kat was, so far, a successful outcross and I am planning a few more later in the year that will eventually go back to Zakhar and Nikolai.
