I've been trying to improve my black and white work lately, and pen and ink is a medium I really enjoy. I've always loved old faerie tale illustrations, like those by Walter Crane, so went for a that type of look. Stunning piece! I'm not familiar with the pen-and-ink tradition - is this made with pencil outlining and then rendering in ink, or is it an all ink job from the start?
