The dress is really nice. The hair makes her look more slender. The cat looks like its watching for someone or making sure she is safe. You did very good. the colors make it look alive.

Ah, I love watercolors! I love this picture. Probably because I love cats. ^_^ It's awesome that you've been able to find so much inspiration from ancient cultures and mythology! Thanks for the critique. You asked about the medium I used for couple, and it's marker. (Copic, not that cheap children's kind). That is why the color is not uniform. I don't like using a computer to color my artwork... but that's just me. Your critique also gave me some things to think about! Thanx! ^_^

As about the markers, we have a kind of markers here in Italy that are great for coloring and let the color uniform: we call them "Pantone"; but I'm pretty sure they are international, so you can try to see if you have them in your country. You can achieve a flat coloring as well as a detailed shading, they are really great (but expensive unluckily...at least here). I'm glad my comment gave you some insights!

Oh, thank-you! Yes, copic markers are very good... but as you have noticed they can look blotchy at times! Which is fine... if it fits the mood! So I will most certainly look for these markers... I think I have heard the name before. I will look for them next time I go to the art store!
