Description
While this looks a lot like the two other pictures made for the collaborative Eastern Dragon story, it really turned out to be a lot more. Challenge - that is, with every character in a very dynamic pose, hand to hand fighting plus using magic and some Steampunk firearms (electric storm guns).

I actually had to do 7 sketches of this scene before I liked one and had to retool the line art once as well. Still not sure how well I captured the action. To get everyone to fit in, I had to drop 9 characters out of the mix.

Lets get ready to rummmmmmble!!!!

Story highlight, Characters Shinkou, Drohung, Washiryuu (drakeagle) and Koryu (RC) are borrowing a kitchen to prep some American food -for a change- when a clutch of evil Tokko henchmen barge in. During a combination Foodfight and Martial Arts Magic duel, Tokko's are shown the street after being shown the 9 ancient recipes for PAIN.

Description of each technique along with the screen writing sound description, like in the old Batman TV episodes.

Shinkou (Blue dragon with yellow mane/scutes) is downing one Katana swinging henchman with a storm gun- Krackzzzzzzzzzzzbbb. He's also getting in some dishes while waterboarding a henchman as well.

Drohung (Black winged dragon at far left) is letting loose a shadow punch to a henchman who did not tip the waitress. SShhhhhhhhhmmmmaaaaaassssshhhhh!

Washiryuu (Black Dragon with mace tail and gray scutes) is serving up a big portion of energy push and a side order of kicking block. Thwumppppfffffff!

Finally, yours truly Koryu (Rex/RussC in the red GI' on far right) is giving a henchman a sample of the Soup SPPPPLUTTTTT! and another gets a tiger-touch, good for sleepless types who want many hours inspecting their eyelids from insides. (that one is completely silent until the goon hits the floor)
