Description Here is Remy at the age of three. When he was younger, he used to take the electric mixer out of the kitchen and bring it up to his room and play with it. His interest in the appliance grew the more he used it. He would even bring it with him to bed.

His parents found it bizarre he would rather play with a kitchen tool then a stuffed teddy bear. After a while they told him he had to give it back to them and leave it in the kitchen because it wasn't a toy. At first Remy did not take it too well (he even threw a tantrum), but he eventually agreed to leave the mixer were it belonged. Remy has since given it up, but he still takes interest in some electrical appliances.

We are all curious by nature. We all want to learn how certain things work and what they are used for. Some with Aspergers or high functioning autism will focus on certain things that really interest them and how they work. Some will look at the object another a different way and imagine what else it could be used for.

I can kinda relate. While I had toys I played with, I used to carry around a box of Aunt Jemima buttermilk pancake mix because the box at the time was blue; despite red being my favourite colour.

This was actually based off true events from my childhood. I remember looking through my dad's old tool chest and took an interest in his tire gauge and a few of his smaller screwdrivers.
Also, yeah, that bear does look a little sad and puzzled.
