Here's my pattern for Midna's skirt. One of the things I like about her is that she's definitely got some curves in her hips. So do I. Unfortunately, her animators made sure that her skirt was flattering to her hips and... I'm not exactly sure how to do that. To compensate, I made the skirt pattern a little wider than my hips, and plan on doing a SLIGHT gather right over my hip.Related content

You probably know this by now, but I saw someone else who constructed Midna's skirt saying that putting two small darts in it would make it come in and sit more snugly to your thighs. Seemed pretty reasonable to me.

Yup! That would definitely work. I just didn't like how the darts looked. The V shape I put at the top of my pattern kind of has the same effect.

Yeah, I can see how the darts would be a little too obvious. It's good that there are multiple ways of tackling this.
