This is a really old sketch and one that is at the very top of my list of things to color...the black-lining might take a while though. As a matter of fact, this was the very first image EVER of Sessa. I drew her in this celtic meets hindu-imagery style - drawing from some classical methods of symbolism I was learning about in art history at the time. Sessa invokes huge changes in her society. Long time enemies are made friends through war and women are allowed to fight on the surface along side the men, she brings to light the true nature of the Karnaks who rule over her people and manipulates them through their religion. Of course, this revelation wreaks havoc on her people, splitting them in civil war. But sometimes change has to come at devastating prices.Enjoy!

Its also a very old piece, pre-figure drawing classes. I think I could improve on it if given the chance!

Its a lot of fun, that's for sure. I did try to vector this at one point but that was before I had taken any courses in Illustrator. My poor friend was trying to help me out with it but in the end my brain exploded before I got very far. At least I know inking it will be a TON easier than that.

I could probably vector it now with relative ease. Just....I don't think that would be the right move. I think the variable width of the pen strokes on a tablet would be better

Oh geez. Oh geez, this is just incredible. Celtic meets Hindu is exactly the vibe I get, it's like an amazing mural you'd see detailed in huge size on the wall of an old temple somewhere. It's ridiculously fantastic, every detail is just so awesome! I can't. I just can't, I don't even know. Just wow, really.
