I did this monotype back in December? maybe January? (sorry for the bad picture again)It took me all the way to Scholastics and won me a gold key! And I'm so thankful for that. I was so nervous at the ceremony though! SO nervous. I hate speaking in public. And there were hundreds of people there. And I HATED the dress I was wearing (hopefully someone can relate to that puting more stress on an already bad situation, haha). I had to go onto the stage, say my name, what school I went to, and what I won into a microphone. I was scared of forgeting my last name and everything. But it was a fun experience in the end. And this piece was printed as the front cover of the program; I was happily stunned. It might have been one of the best and worst days of my life..

So beautiful! I love how the detail really comes together with all the color tones. I think the red moon up there is a great idea too and I even like how the bright color near the dear stands out a bit from the rest of the monotype!

It is really nice! I can definitely believe that you won an award for it. I really like that the sun/moon is red; it focuses the attention in the picture to that and the deer.

This is a hauntingly beautiful piece of work with a strong depth and dramatic atmosphere. The black and white scene combined with the red highlights creates a great contrast and helps to draw the eye (and imagination) of the observer into the scene.

A beautiful piece with a beautiful mind. I love the idea of this picture, the title to make it more and more clear. How you paint it, your touch on your piece, I'm sure you deserve the winning. I could feel the silence, serenity of the winter forest. This was so real, you wonderfully could attract viewer inside your world, amazing. No word could explain this piece more than perfect.

Oh, Reowyn, this is beautiful. You more than well deserved every honor you received! I can't stop looking at it. It's so haunting, it's just drawing me in. I want to go and bundle up and join that stag on that frozen morning and follow him to his home. The sort of monochromatic color scheme is really effective at creating this beautiful mood. I just- everything is just so. It's stunning. I wish I could say it more eloquently. You've done it again. ^^
