I rescue roosters, and have wanted to work with a sebright for years! You've done a fantastic job rendering each individual feather with that intricate lacing and iridescence! Beautiful- just gorgeous!!

I had several pet Sebrights. Really pretty, and the roosters are fairly nice, for roosters. Not the smartest, though.

Haha, I have a Polish who's a little... "special". I had a Rhode Island boy that was a HUGE dork, but he was my buddy, as he'd make CERTAIN to cuddle with me every day.

I love roosters. It is such a joy to watch them interacting with their flock. My Polish seemed retarded too, not sure if it was the fact he couldn't see or if that it is a particularly stupid breed. I started keeping his hair trimmed, but he didn't seem to get any smarter.

I keep my Polish's "hair" tied up so he can see. It seems to alleviate some of his neurotic behaviours, and definitely cuts his aggression- I think he feels a need to overcompensate when he can't see. I've talked with some Polish keepers, and the neurotic behaviour seems to be a breed trait- though it's hard to say if it's the breed itself, or the seeing issue. He was three years old when I got him, and terribly shy- now he trusts me enough to take treats from my hand, and only mildly complains when I pick him up at night to put him to bed.

Yes we still sell these. Here is a link to our online store if you'd like to see them:[link]
We are sold out of a few colors, but we are always restocking.

The Sebright and Occellated griffins were special One-of-a-kind pieces that I painted to be auctioned on Ebay. I do paint special griffins from time to time, but I am random about it.
However the "Black Sunset" Griffin are still being made ( I don't paint those myself, we have production painters doing them).Check the Windstone website once in awhile. windstoneeditions.com They'll be back in stock eventually.

My two silver laces were some breed that started with a W. But they didn't have the iridescent black. They were flat black and white.
Wasn't till I was older (I was in 4th/5th grade at the time) that I figured out that Silver Lace and Buff were the COLOR names. Not the breed. lol.

I have tried a few jungle fowl themes, but I didn't like the way they turned out.Oh, I also did a some Golden Sebright griffins a couple years ago, and I did some "Appleyard" duck colored ones.
