Description
I airbrushed this griffin in a Bengal cat pattern on his cat part and a kind-of fantasy chicken pattern on his bird part . He has orange glass eyes.This is a gypsum reproduction of my original sculpture , produced by Windstone Editions.

When I saw that one of your dragons had a DD, I was like, "hey! I know that artist! She made my griffin!"
And lo and behold, you are here.
I remember when I was a little kid, whenever we went to the mall on my dad's visitation (wednesday nights) I would walk into a particular gift shop and stare at the griffin amongst the other sculptures. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I adored that statue. So in 8th grade, for graduation, my dad bought me this griffin statue (but in black and purple). That was 9-10 years ago. I still have it, and I still love it. Its eyes are so fierce and it sits so proudly. Thank you for making this. I have really enjoyed it, and now it holds memories for me.

Oh wow I faved this when I first saw it, I think its amazing! tho I just realized today that your not just a painter you are the sculptor! o______o; I felt pretty fail right then <.< anyways, THANK YOU!!! my aunt began buying these for me when I was little and it is the biggest reason I became a sculptor! now Im going to an art school to follow that dream

A little off topic, but i was wondering if there is an FAQ somewhere about PYO airbrush painting techniques? I found the one for straight up brush painting, but I am most curious about any special tips and techniques for this type of airbrush-painting job

I don't think anyone has done a tutorial on airbrushing these. I may be able to help...though I only know about the kind of paint and airbrushes I use.

We buy them directly from the supplier and paint them ourselves, but you can purchase eyes like these from Van Dyke's taxidermy , or if you would like some really classy acrylic eyes ,I found "Dreaming tree studio" makes great fancy eyes for dolls and creatures!
