They RNG'd 4th Place:
Emily was still riding her high after placing in Toronto. Ampi had given his heart and soul in that performance, and she couldn’t have been prouder of the way they had connected as a team in front of their first big audience. She let him enjoy some relaxation time, back at AVS, before they started their training again.
When Thienna called, chattering with excitement, about a chance for them to get some more experience – at Imperials, none-the-less – she couldn’t help but agree to go along, and gain some more show experience. She enjoyed travelling with Thienna and Deku – and Ampi didn’t seem to mind travelling with the Hano mare (it’d be a bit of a stretch to say he enjoyed [grumpy] Mammon’s company, but that was something Em hoped would change over time).
Arriving at Imperials was like walking into a daydream… a blast-from-the-past, amazing daydream. It was everything Em had hoped it would be… and more. She was a bit nervous, wondering if she would run into the courteous admiral or charming captain – whom she’d had the pleasure of meeting briefly in Toronto. But their tight travel schedule had them arriving just before the show and leaving shortly thereafter. So the likelihood of running into anyone else - especially the hosts - was quite minimal. Still, she was thrilled to be there, exploring the grounds with her fabulous friend, Thienna, and her favorite flirt, Deku. Everything about Imperials was so refined and magnificent.
But, there were no words to describe what she felt entering Imperial’s Sunken Arena. The glass ceiling, that permitted stunning reflections of aquatic lighting creating an ethereal atmosphere took her breath away - she felt as though her her spirit was transported to a magical realm of dreams. Or, as though she could just sprout a mermaid’s tail and swim right through the underwater scene. Placing here would not even matter, as it was just enough of a dream-come-true to be able to perform in this fantastical setting.
Em took a deep breath, centering herself as she reached down to pat Ampi reassuringly, and reminded herself… “It’s about to be legendary."
Her travelling buddies:
Since there is no pre-reg for this show, I just made up a random registry # for the bridle. Hopefully that's okay?
