Here, Madi and Whimsy are enjoying a leisurely walk with some tack... and "kissing the Earth with their feet." (or however we can demonstrate the quote/promt this month, LOL)

Slowly and steadily, Whimsy has grown accustomed to bridles, saddles and pads as Madi has advanced her training.

Zach [the barn trainer] has been pleased overseeing Madi & Whimsy's progress, and remains hopeful for a promising show career once the young mare is backed/ridden.

At somewhere between 2 and 3 years old now, Whimsy's mane and tail are growing in nicely, increasing in length and thickness as per the ideal breed standard.

And, Madi's decided to go natural with her own hair as well -- no longer dying it dark to coordinate with her mares' [Tempy and Whimsy] coat, or match so many of the other riders at AVS -- and is going back to her lighter brunette hair with some fun summery-blonde highlights. We'll see how long this lasts... as she is rather fond of playing with color, LOL.
