I was lucky enough to draw your name in the 2014 Equine-Secret-Santa and loved working on your gorgeous Standardbred gelding, Torpedo .
I'm sorry to keep you waiting (hoped to have it up at the start of December) - but I wanted to spend some time on it and make it worth the wait. Here are WIP's for your pleasure:

So beautiful coloring, shiny fur and all the delicate details! I also love the dynamic pose and falling snowflakes are adding movement.

I had a lot of fun working on Torpedo - he's just such a gorgeous stallion. And what better time to practice more shading, than when trying to make a Christmas gift worthwhile?
I can still see a lot of areas for improvement, but overall I was fairly happy with how it turned out.

AnimalArtKingdom has such a stunning gelding - it was a delight to be able to work on painting him.
It has been a while since I really tried to attempt soft shading (for some reason cel-shading comes more easily to me) and I wanted to put some effort into her gift - so it really makes me incredibly happy to read your compliments! ♥ I spent quite a while trying to get the shading down (with plenty of room for improvement still). Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback.

Yay - I'm so glad you like it! I hope I was able to capture enough of Torpedo in the image. It can always be so tricky trying to translate a real life pet/horse onto paper/canvas.
And yes, the snow was not all that easy (it definitely leaves room for improvement) - but I am glad you think it turned out okay.
