#JunkYardCity-OCT 's round 4 blog says that, in the carnival, there is a "great beast that few dare to speak of, let alone live to even know what it looks like..."

My first reaction was "LOL Rothbart ." I checked, though, and they call him the great animal, so I couldn't make that joke.

Then ~mixmaster163 revealed that they originally intended for the great beast to be a T-rex, yessssss . Since the whole Rattrap -Dustkicker similarity gets pointed out a lot, I couldn't let this opportunity go to waste, no. Although, transmetal Megatron is a pain to draw, yes. I considered replacing him with TFA Grimlock instead, yes, but that wouldn't do, no! The simian line is from Bee in the City , oh yessss.

After deciding Megatron was too easy, yes, ~zombie-fingers pointed out that the Pennywise the Clown was would make a wonderful great beast in a carnival. I actually outlined a version of my round 4 with a giant spider trying to scare everyone but it turned into a big Nostalgia Critic joke. BALLOON!!

Then I considered going the other direction and making the great beast a tiny spider with insane venom. Everyone would get bit and end up tripping balls the whole round. As much as I'd love to draw out a bad trip, the round-relevant to things-I-just-wanna-draw ratio would have leaned very heavily to the completely irrelevant side.

I ended up going with the only idea that didn't derail the whole round (BA DUM CHIIIIIII) but I wanted to mention the rest since they made me giggle.
