| *Despereaux-7 's comic | | First | | Previous | | Next | |This page fought me all the way. I wasn't used to all the drying time since the other pages didn't have this much paint. Plus, the first three panels were really bright by comparison to the last three. I finally just went ahead and make it dark.
For the record, Dusty can't swim. It's not that he has an issue with water or isn't capable. He's just never learned.
When I was little, I saw my brother flailing around in the pool and I swam over to help him. Long story short, don't save kids who are freaking out in the water. They are inexplicably strong.

Thanks! I tried to keep her in character. I wasn't sure if I was playing Aquin up too much but he actually ended up pretty central to the comic. Idk.

Niobe was pretty easy. Her motivation was simple so that made things easy enough.

They are. Well, the rules of the OCT say they are. In round 1 , Niobe didn't fight her opponent. They became friends. Way I see it, Niobe isn't going to befriend a potentially dangerous opponent and then punch a little kid in the face.

I can tell how the contrast between the first few panels and the last two could be awkward, but it seems to be balanced pretty well from where you darkened it. In addition, from what I've seen, you've done a really good job of getting into Niobe's head and showing how she'd act in this situation.
XD I've done that before with my younger sisters. The kid's got a surprisingly strong arm!

I was worried I killed it with digital edits but there's a deadline so a girl's gotta do what I girl's gotta do. I'm just glad it ended up okay.
I'm surprised how many comments I've got from people who have experience with kids flipping out in the water. Is this a common life experience?
