Thanks John, will let you into a little secret! This was only the second horse I had ever drawn! have done loads more since, I dont put everything on here that I do, often a customer asks not to publish a commission so I leave it off here and off my web site etc

Best thing is they pay me to prctice and I end up being paid to do what I enjoy doing anyway, win win situation! not often that happens in my life

Thank you for your kind words also. Nice meeting you. I love horses. Wish I had one. Have you seen the Documentary "Buck"? Buck Brannaman is the trainer who helped in the movie Horse Whisperer with Robert Redford. If you haven't and love horses find it and watch it. He is an incredible man and has a great story. He loves horses. It's playing on showtime or HBO right now. Have a great day.

LOL I've been drawing horses all my life and I'm nowhere near this good...at least at the shading

You should have seen the first Dog I drew!! not good but kept at it and it came, probably why I find horses less of a challange, dont get me wrong they are not easy easy but I dont look at the blank paper and cringe when I have to make a start.
Just keep drawing and try drawing parts of the horse instead of the whole animal and do different angles each time, different lighting and so on, it will come if you let it!
