You should do a tutorial for hair dimensions, as I can never get the folds right on my custom hair styles, and often have to redo them five to ten times :T it's very time consuming and my brain overheats if I try to plan it out before I draw it. So some simple dimensions would be great.

Only five  to ten? This is version 14-C of Kna's hair. Which admittedly is more complicated than other hairdoos, but not the point.

I've tried to make something like that before, the problem is that once you try to make hair that lifts away from the head at all the head-based pattern becomes useless. The only real way to go is to start with a similar one that's already been made and cut it / tape extra bits on, noting where you did so, and re-printing modified versions over and over and over.

If you ever need some help I can try to pitch in, but I've yet to find a way to shortcut hairdoos. And believe me, I've tried. Inefficiency bothers me.

The look I'm looking for in my character is a cross between rainbowdash and octavia's hairstyle. It's longer with rounder edged friz and is curled the same way as octavia's.

I would recommend starting with the Octavia model, if the folds are closer to hers. Fringing the edges isn't too difficult unless it covers a folding cut, in which case you can figure it out with only one test printing.

It's pretty complicated, so I figured it was necessary. If you've made the model I'd love to see a photo of it.

No problem, felt like I had to make one since the hair was so complicated on this model. Now build yourself a model and post some pics!

I'm sorry.

But I don't have a printer or a way to move pics from my camera to my PC.
So I won't be able to.
