Magi of the Lore of Ashes are typically revered in Yadrann as martyrs, for of out of all ten sacred magic schools it is the only one that is so uncontrollably powerful that it eventually kills its user. Yadra Cindrillon was appointed as Matriarch to this lore during the recent Centaur wars. While she made an incredible name for herself by killing the Five Kings single handedly, many expected her to die soon after to the terrible Ashen Curse. Remarkably she did not, and still serves to this day as the lore's Matriarch. This fact has led her to be held in suspicion and mistrust by many, however, she is seen as a beacon of hope to those who seek to wield the flame.
