Grammostola rosea - Chilean Rose-haired TarantulaNOTE: I decided to take this photo portraying dead prey, spun in an intricate web of stickyness. Taken under natural lights and shadows. Unlike the previous two versions, this is a different species of tarantula.

I've been meaning to respond to this photo for a bit. Now, here it is and here I am and I can't find the words.
It's horrifying. And beautiful. Deeply sublime. Every dash of the image works beautifully. The hue/tone is perfect ~ without coming off a bit twee, which is no-doubt what would happen if I were try to capture this kind of atmosphere. Very, very nice. By nice, I should say "effective" instead...!
