Description This is a drawing of Shan Yu from college, when I had a fanpage and all that jazz. It's one of those pieces I can look back at and I still don't think it's half bad. The falcon looks better than he does, but that's me and my experience drawing animals for you. I put this up partly because I'm trying to draw him again and I'll be interested to see the contrast.
1999, colored pencils, boredom in the computer lab. Yeah, that piece of paper was a test on the printer... I draw on whatever I can get.

Many many years of practice and photo reference, especially for the bird. Drawing from photos is your friend...
