Some happy newlyweds! Hugo's writing is so vivid. I just had to draw Marius and Cosette after reading that chapter. So sweet.


I'm very happy with how the colors turned out here. I used a brush from ~porkbun 's set - fav.me/d5azcp1 . It's been refreshing to work with something different.

And I saw that you're almost finished with the Les Miserables novel, it is kind of sad getting to the end of certain books.

I have! BUT I FOUND OUT THAT THE TRANSLATION I BOUGHT, EVEN THOUGH IT SAYS THAT IT'S "COMPLETE AND UNABRIDGED", APPARENTLY CUT STUFF OUT OF THE BOOK!!! D:

I'm at the part when Valjean is taking Marius away after the Barricade Boys are defeated, and there's stuff I've read online about the Barricade Boys (and other people too! Like the thing about Marius finding a handkerchief that he thinks is Cosette's) that I haven't read in the book yet. I don't imagine that Victor Hugo wrote much about the Barricade Boys after their death?

Agh, that's terrible! Ahah, Marius and his handkerchief were just hilarious. It's really frustrating that your version's been edited like that. If I recall correctly, though, Hugo doesn't say a great deal about Les Amis after the barricades.
