I've totally redone the starscape, which took me about 3 hours to complete. Then I went onto restarting the planet, this time by creating my 'own' landmasses and using a aerial photo of some place in america.. (Gotten off the NASA website) And I know, it still looks rather flat, thats because this wasnt done the way it was meant to, due to the method I used. (And how I couldnt do it on a canvas larger than 1024x768..)
I'd like to thank ~shimaspawn for the advice and linking me to tutorials to learn how to fix this peice.
And no, this peice is not fully completed.
In the future I will be reworking tis peice from the ground up. Making it available for larger resolutions, as well as smaller resolutions. And will be fixed up to make it look more realistic as time goes on and my skills get better..
But that wont be until August.
Until them there might be future slightly reworked versions of this and other works of mine.

That's a very good space scene, you are getting better all the time, judging by your previous versions.
The only minor critique I could offer is that some of the stars in the 'fire' should be dimmed a lot, considering there is a bright light right in front of them, they would be nearly invisible.
The main planet looks fine to me but, if you have plans to make it even better, than that's awesome. Overall, this is a great work!

Brilliant spacescape. I like ur color selections & the tons of shimmering stars are awesome. And I think u did a marvelous job with the glow around earth. Excellent job!

the majority of it is done with photoshop, the LARGER stars were rendered with astroscape though.
but the planet, the starfield, etc.. is done in Photoshop.

You're right. This one is a far cry better than your previous work. I hope the tutorials I gave you helped. The texture on the large planet is far more organic now, though the lava still seems a tad flat. The new star feild is lovely though, and I love the colours.
