I have always admired majestic animals like the America Eagle. Who doesn't admire the power and strength of these creatures? Even with all our technology and great machines, I bet nothing compares to flying under your own natural power. Birds come and go as they please, while we have to strap into jets to fly. A nice thing to fly in planes, but not the same as natural flight, I imagine.

This piece took a couple of hours to complete. Some people have commented that perhaps there is a symbolism to the dark background in this piece; kind of like the 'dark part' of the American experience. Not so - I chose a black bakdrop to accentuate the eagles form under the light source. But if this piece makes people think about philosophical topics, then I am pleased.

Pleae forgive the quality. This was scanned from a photostat. The original piece is too large for my scanner and I still have not yet mastered scanning big works in sections and pasting.

Though this wasn't a political piece, I wanna dedicate this to all our troops overseas. Whther you support the war or not, I hope you can stand by the brave men and woman in our military putting their lives on the line each day to fulfill their duty with honor. May they be blessed everyday and hope they come home safe and soon... Hope U like it.
