fascinating work! I struggle to articulate what it communicates but there is a real layering of biology. I am seeing wings of birds, insects and limbs all interlacing

It's always a thrill to learn what others see in these abstract practices.
THANKS so much for letting me know. And continue looking at the clouds;
They're beautiful esp this time of year!!!

Lovely on silk perhaps?

Perhaps, but I think silk would really, REALLY absorb watercolor, not sure what
it would do then. Maybe some kind of silk screen transfer?
Perhaps....richard

I like to think of it as several figures, although I have never posted something
so completely abstract as this....it could bear several interpretations....like clouds! NO?
THANKS Trish....
PS Those 'guys' on the left, are photographers and journalists, taking notes, etc etc (maybe)!

Apostate-Ghaast [2017-07-30 08:00:31 +0000 UTC]
Just as excellent as usual. Β The flow to this piece is remarkable; the edges pull you into the center, which in turn draw you down the flowing pathways of watercolor. Β Vague curvature and musculature intertwine, giving it a very organic feeling. Β Fantastic, Richard.

I simply love the way you manage to convey so much in your paintings, I love your imagination and the way you use colour, the 'milkiness' of the end result ππ

Thanks. Such beautiful words. After the first session of applying paint, I remain stymied for close to a week. I almost give up on all of them. Then, an idea comes, and I begin to attack the painting with INTUITION. I cannot handle bringing a painting to some kind of closure, fruition, some more interesting than others. I'm also getting less and less afraid of pure abstraction ....and I'm glad for that. Thanks again.
Richard
