Another commission where I was asked to give her a top

Since the original was topless, I never really game much though on what kind of top she would use. But when this was requested I had to think of something that would match her skirt. The skirt is supposed to be letter, and made to look like something a barbarian would use. So I though of giving it that same "raw" and simplistic design.

In hindsight, I should have mentioned up front I was aiming to do a topped version as well. I find these edit commissions really helpful when it comes to designing and planning out my characters, especially newer ones like Tabitha.
That aside, I think the approach of having the top complement and have a lot of similarity with the skirt was a great approach. I especially like the broach/buckle on the bottom of the top and how it nicely complements the one on her skirt. Likewise, I feel the leather detailing on the top works well with the way it's done on the belt, as well as the metal studs and straps on both halves of her clothes.
Finally, I think the setting sun shading on the breasts and lower part of the top was beautifully done. I realise it would make sense to shade it that way after looking at the original version, but I still think it was really well done on this one as well.

It's all good, it's only that most of the time I do think of what kind of top I would give them, but this time for some reason I didn't even think about it.
I have found that it's important for me to think how cloths are built and held up, even if some times I take artistic liberties. The metal studs I'm not sure they do serve a purpose, I though of putting them to reinforce the sections, but maybe they wouldn't really do much, or even reduce the structural integrity 
I think I mentioned that I wanted it to look like the top has always been there, not like something that I added later. So it had to look right with the light that I had used for the original. I'm glad if that came right.
