I cried when this dude died.
Alan Rickman is one of the best actors EVER. Period.
HP 7 was an amazing, amazing movie!
I don't really have an excuse for not uploading for such a long time. Lets just say it's summer.
I really had a LOTCH of fun drawing this bad boy meheheheh >
I actually used a different technique on this one; I drew the lineart upside-down. It really works!
I abused my black pastel pencil and kneadable eraser.
Time Takenummm... around 5 hours
Materials UsedBlack pastel pencil
Tortillion
5B, 4B, 3B, 2B, B, F & H graphite pencils
Kneadable and normal eraser
Lots n lotsa tissues!
PS. - I realize his noes DOES look a bit distorted. I hate myself for that

Its not that hard, actually. Drawing upside down helps you a lot, if you suck at drawing line art (like me)

Here is your critique:
First of all Iβd like to say that the likeness is spot on. No one who has ever watched a Harry Potter film will have any doubts about who this is. You have captured his facial features so well!
You have chosen a very emotional reference and I think you have managed to recreate the feeling of the scene. You can easily see the pain in his eyes.
The drawing looks a bit sketchy though. Some parts, like the hair and the background are very rushed and you can see the pencil strokes a little too well. I know it is very hard to do the dark parts right because you have to use a lot of force. Still it would help a lot if you took your time with it.
The best advice I can give you on the overall is to just take your time. Donβt blend until you have covered the space you are working on in graphite. The more space you have between your strokes, the rougher it will look. Try to work with the textures.
I really think you have done a great job here, it really does him justice
