Were girl and owl photographed together, or were two images combined to create this portrait?
The way the girl's eyeshadow echoes the owl's golden iris, and the owl's eye is positioned almost directly over the spot where the girl's hidden left eye would be, add to the dramatic impact of the image!

Very cool! (I actually checked out your blogspot link after posting my question and saw the shots in which the gauntlet was visible, so it was more obvious that she was actually holding the owl.)
I have had the opportunity to volunteer with owls a bit in the past, and I must say that, while I love the idea of taking glamour shots holding an owl, I don't know if I would have the nerve to let a large raptor sit on my hat (as your model does in a couple of shots)! (Where I worked, one of the keepers once had an owl decide to hop from its perch onto her shoulder while she was hand-feeding it - the bird wasn't being aggressive, but that still was not a fun experience...)
