Johannes stands at a height of 6'2". He attempts to keep his dark hair proper at all times to keep up appearances, and is very rarely ever seen without his tie. His favorite color is purple, as can be garnered from most of his attire, and his eyes are a very bright aquamarine color (matching his gemstones in his Pokemon form). He keeps himself clean and orderly as best as he is able and practices good posture, which makes him give off the aura of a high-class gentleman. Though fighting isn't necessarily in his nature, Johannes is able to fend for himself quite well in a scrap.

Johannes is generally polite by nature, however, he can and does deceive others to get what he wants. He's generally honest, which can also lead him to be too quick to trust others, making him seem a bit naive. Whether this naivety is more deception is somewhat up to debate. Johannes tries from the outset to be friendly with most people, and enjoys the company of others and conversation.

He is quite intelligent despite this perceived naivety and prides himself on this, most notably, his wit. He is not what one would call "street smart", however.

He is mostly a pacifist, using his silver tongue to handle most situations, but he is not a stranger to fisticuffs every now and then.

He often speaks using large words and romanticized speech in order to punctuate the fact that he is indeed a man of class, and can become quite verbose in the heat of the moment. This can make him seem somewhat pompous or pretentious at times. Due to his upbringing, Johannes does tend to think of himself as more a member of high society.

Though his place of residence is Lumiose City, Johannes is always looking for more excitement to keep his interest, his dull upbringing up until that point making him somewhat of a thrill seeker. He enjoys the night life of Lumiose.

History

Johannes was given as a birthday present to the young daughter of a wealthy business magnate in the Unova region early on in his life. His father, a male Gothitelle, was owned by the the girl's father, his mother having been under the ownership of one of various overseas business partners. Surprisingly, rather than becoming upset at this sudden addition to their family, the man decided little Johannes would be the perfect gift for his daughter's tenth birthday, and named him Beauregard (Beautiful Gaze).

Johannes' father raised him under the pretense of being the perfect gentleman, an accessory more than a Pokemon, one that would not besmirch their master's image. He was taught etiquette, proper eating habits, a wide vocabulary, and many other things. This was incredibly dull to the young Sableye.

His owner constantly babied him and dressed him up in little outfits, and he was told by his father he must dress accordingly at all times. This apparently just meant he had to wear the tie the girl kept putting on him.

As the years past, Johannes was dragged to and fro across the world to business meetings and the like. As his owner grew older and became engrossed in the world of business much like her father, Johannes' time in the spotlight of her life quickly came to an end. His life became even more dull now, being used as more of a fashion statement for his gleaming jewels than as an actual living thing. He feared this was all there was to his life, when he suddenly came across something that very greatly interested him.

On one of the family's various excursions to Lumiose, he was beckoned away by a strange man who revealed himself to be a Pokemon in disguise. The Pokemon told him about the wondrous Dittech device, and how it could allow him to live life with a whole new sense of purpose. A real life, one full of excitement. Though he didn't feel safe about joining this "Frou" gang the stranger told him about, he was given the Dittech anyway and told to simply keep the group in mind as a possible future prospect.

Johannes left soon after that, and using his new Human form and thanks to the way he carried himself, was able to find a job at the Lumios Stone Emporium as a Jeweler. This job, however, is also rather dull.
Extra

-Johannes is very good at figuring out the actual value and authenticity of gemstones by tasting them, though he doesn't actually do this where anyone can see.
-It's hard to keep himself from eating the stock in the Stone Emporium.
-He is a hopeless romantic, and often waxes poetic about one day meeting the love of his life.

"I'm sorry, madam, but I simply cannot pay you for these." He said, dropping the earrings back into the woman's hand.

She puffed up a bit, the furs around her neck making her look like a fat owl, "And why not?"

Johannes leaned his elbows on the counter and interlaced his fingers as he drew in a sharp breath through his nose. "Because they're no good."

"'No Good'?!" She cried, "How dare you! These earrings have been passed down to all the women in my family since my great-great-grandmother, I demand you pay me their worth this instant!"

"I'm sorry, but we're fresh out of play money." Johannes said, beginning to get quite irritated with this shrieking old she-beast.

"What are you on about, fool?!"

He closed his eyes and sighed, "Well you see...because they aren't real, you see. We don't deal in fake jewelry."

She looked appalled, glancing down at the set of earrings and then back up at the young man at the counter, "Fake?" She scoffed, as if the very notion was ridiculous, "You think these are fakes?" She said, jangling them in front of his face.

Before she could say anything else, Johannes wrapped his tongue around one of the earrings and then, pulling it into his mouth, crunched down on it, shattering them into millions of miniscule shards, much to the utter shock and horror of the woman.

"Now you see, had those been real, I'd hardly have any teeth left in my head." He said, fishing a bit of the metal wiring out of his gums and flicking it away behind the counter.

"I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO....YOU..." She stammered, red-faced with anger and humiliation.

"Please leave the premises, you're upsetting the other customers." Johannes said, leaning on his elbows once more and grinning from ear to ear.

"YOU WILL BE HEARING FROM MY HUSBAND! HE'LL BUY THIS RAMSHACKLE PLACE AND TURN IT INTO A PARKING LOT!" She screeched as she stomped across the store, the other customers slipping out of her way.

"We hope to see you again~" Johannes called after her. He let out a contented belch. The earrings actually hadn't been fake, but at least now he didn't have to buy dinner this evening.
