Old concept sketch of the Rev Raptor. I wanted to wait and made a cool pose and colored it before I stuck it up, but that's not happening anytime soon @__@ Of course with this pic, you can see all the ridiculous detail so whever.Related content

It's really good though, I think the way you did the detail on the Rev Raptor is a lot more precise and practical.

This is well done, it's probably just me, but the thigh seems kinda small. Also, you removed the head mounted laser? A lot of the armour too. And not sure if they had it in the series, but the backwards claw on the foot. Right not it looks like it would suffer from instability issues, the bane of many 2-legged zoids.

I actually ignored the model version completely 
I went more for a scientific explanation basing it off of the real thing the Rev was based off of rather than the show's version. It's just more fun that way

No prob, I like discussing zoid mechanics and stuff. It is more scientific than the show version, that one is rather clunky and slow, which makes it a good mass production zoid. This would seem more like a custom for some hotshot.

Me too. It's nice to get comments about the mechanical parts and such rather than just the usual "That's so awesome." It's like... "Ok, but WHY do you think it's awesome?" XD That's what I was going for, more scientific than the real zoids, or like my roomie told me "Dude! You do to the zoids like they did to the Transformers!" It just always bothered me how they designed some of the zoids... like Command Wolf, how does it turn it's head?!

Yeah. Those always bother me. I like to see how people think and why something is good, because people pick up on different things. Also, it shows that they really did look and think about it. Though sometimes, thats all I have time to say before I have to leave, though I try to elaborate.
As for the command wolf, does it ever turn its head? I can't imagine it doing that with the huge neck plate.

Nice. I've seen my favourite eps a lot, I found a pretty good streaming site if you watch them in dub (I started zoids in Dub before I was a big anime freak, so anything else seems foreign to me). I guess the neck plate is rubber? Haha I have no idea. I'll have to go back and watch.

I have all of Zoids Zero and Zoids Genesis, and I watch CC online. But I wish I could see Zero in Japanese again cuz it was much better. I danno, but I fixed that in sketch of the Command Wolf I did like Rev here XD

I always thought you needed a special organ for it.
I think that organ was removed and turned into Eve. See, most people think it was just a rib that this character called "God" took. Hell no. Maybe thats all he meant to take, but he MISSED and took EXTRA. The bastard took our Splee'n!!!

I think his body is too thin, my toy is bigger is like he has his armor, or not? well you did an excellent job on hom, I draw zoids too, but not digital, just in paper with pen.

I did not go by the toy model at all. I based it completely off of the velociraptor instead. I used to draw them on paper until I got my drawing pad

i like it, the tails better then the normal raptors... the raptors from the chaos and regular series didnt have razors on them like that for an attack..
that would definently be my choice if i was a soldier stationed with a Zoid squadren.
hmm... perhaps create a blade liger variant? with a tail thats a whip/blade?

Ya, that always annoyed me so much was how short their tails were in the series cuz they need the long tails for stability XD
I have too many favs to pick one, but I would probably go with Shadow Blade. He's pretty well balanced.
