I haven't uploaded anything for a while so I thought that I'd upload this to prove that I'm still alive. When I was a kid one of my favourite TV programmes was Robot Wars. I used to watch it every week. I am delighted to see that it will be returning for another UK series this year. It's been a long wait.I have built this 3D model of Panic Attack from the UK series of Robot Wars in SketchUp. I intend to animate it and play about with a few renders (a.k.a. have fun with it). I wonder whether Panic Attack will return for the new series. I guess that I will just have to wait and see.

Great choice! S3 falls somewhere in my Top 15 robots, it's pretty much my favourite All-Star apart from Dantomkia. I got a YouTube comment reply from the team captain once, explaining why he didn't take part in Series 7. It's a real shame they retired.

It is a great shame. It was a ballsy move to go with the vertical spinning disc. With a few tweaks it could have been a (more) formidable robot. S3 was great to watch. I actually thought that it's spinning disc was more impressive than Hypnodisc's. It's just a shame that S3 was so easy to flip.

Panic Attack is BACK. There have been many robots but none of them in RW history featured his unique weapon: fork lifters! The drawing is...excellent, makes it alive.

A few veterans returned to BattleBots last year and didn't do so well against the new bots. Hopefully if Panic Attack returns, it will be upgraded to stay competitive.

That's a good point. I imagine that there's been a lot of new developments since the last RW ended, so the veterans will need some serious updates. The new arena is bulletproof so I'm not sure what they're expecting.

Aw God, this is tremendous. And the black outlines kind of remind me of the style of Telltale Games... Games, which suits the hard edges of the robot perfectly. That would really upΒ show the crumples in a bout.
Last night I saw a preview of RW: The 6th Wars on Challenge, in which Panic Attack was back to it's original flat design with a silver paint job. It didn't look anywhere near as striking as this familiar version.
And when I saw this in my notifications I instantly thought "oh wow" even before I realised it was you that hadΒ modelled it. Impressive. The shading completes it.
