Description While RMS Titanic never visited Liverpool in its short career, that city was registered as its home port, and was home to the White Star Line headquarters and many of the ship's crew.  Consequently, there is a large exhibit about the Titanic, its sinking, and its connections with Liverpool at the Merseyside Maritime Museum on Albert Dock.  The centerpiece of this exhibit is an accurate 20-foot scale model of the Titanic built by the same Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Ireland that built the real ocean liner and its sisters RMS Olympic and RMS Britannic.  If anyone is able to visit Liverpool, go to the museum (free admission) and walk around this model, viewing it from a low angle to appreciate the size of the ship and get a feeling of what the passengers saw as they boarded it in April 1912 for its maiden (and only) trans-Atlantic voyage.  I apologize for the rather blurry image, as I had to take this picture in a hurry before any of the museum staff told me off.

This is the official builder's model. It was originally built as Olympic, then modified for both Titanic and Britannic. The pics of it in its Britannic version are amazing.

Did the stuff of the museum forbid to take the picture? Or was the time near the closing? Anyway it was unfortunately to have little time taking photography.

The staff said that flash photography was prohibited in the whole museum, and photography of any kind in some of the galleries, including the Titanic and Liverpool exhibit.

Oh, many museuns prohibit flash photography due to preserve exhibitions. Did you manage to take the photo of Titanic?
