It's been a while since I've done one of my Gerry Anderson UFO Update images... and we're almost out of 2KX! This scene depicts the Shadair Mobile Transporter on en route to a North American UFO landing site. USAF F-22s provide military flight escort though U.S. airspace.The transporter is FireAngel's "Thunderlifter" with custom SHADAIR transport textures by Drell-7 [link] . The F-22s are Shukky's great freebies, with postwork painted pilots.

Great image. The transport certainly has the look of an Andersonverse vehicle. I note that the wing mounted engine nacelles have a disk on the inboard side. Is that a possible rotation mechanism for a VTOL capability? Although, the bulge on the rear of the fuselage could also house VTOL packs. I also note that there are what appear to be a pair of thruster ports on the rear cross-member of the vertical stabilizers. Dose this indicate ability to operate at very high, even sub-orbital altitudes?

I don't remember the show too well, I think I was a bit young (I'm 38 now), my older brother had all the Dinky toys like the Shadowtrak and the Interceptor, plus Joe 90's car and some Captain Scarlet & Thunderbird's vehicles, and loads of annuals and jigsaws = Gerry Anderson probably did pretty well out of our household! I've still got (and love) my green Eagle Transporter from Space 1999! Thanks for jogging my memory dude!

We never got enough Anderson goodies, Stateside, for my taste. Corgis were hard to find and expensive, back then. And UFO, especially, got very little product support. All the toys I wanted when I was a kid have come out in the last five years!

Cool = you should post some photos! Out of all the Anderson vehicles I loved the SHADO Mobile the most (I think you could get them in metallic blue or green - my brother's was green) I was convinced it was a real army vehicle when I was little!

Well for all the work we put into it, I hope Drell and I do take it out for a few more spins. I'll look at Shukky's transport, but... well... honestly I'm so backlogged with personal projects it's unlikely anything 'll happen. But I WILL look!
