Well not having designed it I can't tell ya about the four nacelle thing, but they clearly laid down a precedent (for better or worse) with the Stargazer in TNG. And why three with the dreadnaught? Or one with the Scout/Destroyers? I loved the Tech Manual when it came out, but it really opened a pandora's box of ship design

Believe it or not, having an uneven number of warp nacelles is rarely seen. This is because it's harder to balance a warp field bubble with an uneven number of warp nacelles.

The nacelle pairs are like mirror images to each other when ignoring the nacelle decorations. Looking at the ship structure, that's gotta' be well creative for a non-canon TOS-era starship.

Definitely a TOS version of the Cheyenne Class, although I would have made the main support pylons (top and bottom) deeper.
