You should do one of Trump's Grandfather Fredrick being taken by Death in the same pandemic, only make him worried that he won't be there to guide his sons (and future grandchildren) anymore. At least one of them improved microwave technology.

I legitimately thought this was a 100 year old piece of art. Beautiful

Really?
Ou com'on, your work is so deep dude!
You have a unique style to the design style nowadays. I do not understand the meaning, but I can feel that in this picture. Drawing techniques like these remind the history books just yet. Great!

Thank you very much. It is about the massive influenza outbreak of 1918 that killed nearly 50 million people.

This is AMAZING! I've seen this floating around the internet a few times, but never knew who made it or when. I finally ran into it again and did a reverse image search to find the artist. I was so shocked to be brought to DA. See, you catch the period so well that by mistake I believed that this was an illustration or woodcut made about 100 years ago by someone who would have been around at the time of the plague. You mentioned in another comment that you could have been an illustrator 100 years ago, and I can defiantly see the influence.
This is the kind of artwork I expect to see in a history book about the time period and disease. This is great. I love the cold, dulled, sad colors. Having looked at your uncolored version, I definitely think color is what this picture really needed for the emotional weight of the children being taken away in the night by Nanny Death really needed to really send the horror home. With the color differences, it was abundantly clear what the difference between the girl and her family truly was and why she was leaving with Death.
I also really like the imagery of death as a sort of Nanny to lead the children away. It's still horribly sad to see the cold girl and buggy leave with the reaper, but it's interesting to see the reaper as something more of a grim caretaker instead of a totally fearful monster.
Making 1918 the house number was a good call. It makes it abundantly obvious what is really being referenced here, and for anyone finding this who didn't immediately get the reference (like me) it was enough of a clue to get them (me) to go research the 1918 flu outbreak.
This is by far one of my favorite artworks ever, on DA or elsewhere else. Fantastic work.

Thank you so much. I am so happy that you thought it was 100 years old! I really do appreciate you taking the time to write this. I do not make a living with my work so what you have done is really what I do it for. Thanks again!

I was just brought here by an article on the Spanish flu as well, and like Helen, I was astonished to find that the artist was on DA! I love illustration of the early 1900s, and yes, you totally fooled me! Brilliant work.

I have heard that several times...I figured this artist was dead. I guess that means I am hitting my mark. Thank you very much.

Your pictures are exactly the style I imagined for a story I read. Something about the garden of death himself.

I was born too late. I would have loved being a story book illustrator 100 years ago.

I found this picture on Tumblr and I loved it. So while during my art class, my teacher was like "What's your favorite piece of work?" And I brought this us and he just nodded and agreed with me.
