It's weird that pidgey is a tiny puffball and it can apparently carry a person, but scyther is much larger and can't.

yeah... but think.... bugs dont normally fly high to begin with... also dont have that built in 'I know where home is' radar that pigeons and other birds do.. so it makes sense that even a tiny bird could carry you (by holding its feet probably) but a bug cant even if it has wings
