The explosions were mega ultra fun to do.
Being in the military at some point is pretty normal for the varuk. Not because they are militaristic, but because the lifestyle is very in line with most of their comfortable lifestyles.

It's not so uncomplicated as one government with one rebelling party, there's a whole lot of subterfuge from beneficiaries of each party in order to profit in numbers and resources. Β And other stuff. Not always subterfuge though, sometimes just mega-fuck-ups.
