Description An old commissioned work  i reworked while ago and never got the chance to post ,Is about the Greek Pilots of Malta amongs them S/L John Plagis the highest-scoring ace of Greek origin, with 16 confirmed aerial victories including 11 over Malta.

Beautiful work and an epic aircraft.  I thought Spits had multiple 30-cal machine guns.  Did they up-gun this variant to cannons?

Interesting Greek pilots in Spitfires borrowed from the British RAF.
(British WW1 tail mark, British WW2 roundels on fuselage, 1970s on wings and G-series fuselage code.  Yep, it's British.)

It's less borrow and more Greek pilots flat out flying for the RAF. I'm pretty sure every notable Allied Power/Occupied Country sans maybe China had pilots flying with the RAF at some point during the War.

According to the RAF Museum, Chinese pilots were flying with the RAF out of India.
