This is true. It also makes me so sad. I love history, but war books/movies make me want to kill myself or bash someone else's head in. If people would actually listen in class, they'd realize it's well--true stories. Stories that teach morals and what happens when people are ... well, stupid. Or selfish.
Sorry for being so cynical.
The TARDIS is a nice touch, though. Keeps the mood a bit more light hearted. Love Doctor Who.

Ahh but that the point. History highlights how human nature reacts, by learning history you learn no to repeated the same mistakes.
You don't need to change human nature just learn to better handle it.

I completely agree with this. Yet, we still have so many people who think History sucks and is boring, and are bent on sleeping through History and then coughing up bad Nazi jokes after class.
