Description I had an urge to draw out Aylen's parents, Taloa (doe) and Hassun (buck)

EDIT: changed their storyline!

The gist of their story:

Taloa was a young and restless doe who lived in modern day Grand Teton National Park. When she was three, Taloa desired to see lands beyond the mountains and to live alone. Her journeys eventually brought her to the the Snake River Gorge in Idaho, and for a time she wished to settle there.

In modern day Provo Valley, Utah, Lived another mule deer called Hassun. He was a gruff buck who never really participated in ruts and competitions of strength. Despite his rough exterior, he was quite kind and sensitive at heart, but was often looked down upon by other, stronger bucks. He heard of a mountain range from a passing pronghorn, and thought of making a home there to start afresh. (Sawtooth mountains, Idaho)

His own path led him to the gorge where Taloa dwelled. The first time they saw each other was almost love at first sight for Hassun, but Taloa was rather indifferent to him. More annoyed than anything that she had to share her space with another mule deer. Their relationship was a rocky one at first, but Taloa eventually warmed up to Hassun, and they became friends. In time, Taloa realized that she was quite fond of Hassun, and felt her heart drawn to him.

A year followed, and Taloa gave birth to Aylen, the pride of her parents hearts. But the new parents were worried about Aylen growing up in the gorge, where being to curious could easily lead to her death. The floodplain wasn't ideal either. Hassun remembered the reason he came up north, and took the matter to Taloa about moving towards the mountains. She was skeptical at first, wary of moving Aylen so far and so soon. Hassun understood, but desired to journey ahead and scout for a place to call home. Taloa agreed, but not without some sadness on her part, though their parting was equally painful with Hassun, they knew it would be for the best.

They would never meet again in this life as Taloa died from illness during the Winter Hassun was away, and Aylen, without a guardian, would travel southward to find new lands. Hassun returned in the spring to find his family gone. He found the remains of his mate, recognizing her fur color as it clung to her skeleton, but his daughter was nowhere to be found. He searched in vain for months, but at last assumed she was dragged off by a predator. With great sadness, he headed back north, unaware that his daughter yet lives.
