I want a Jack Frost (and Sandy) shooting sooo dearly..we have TONNS of snow here. but nobady has time
..and alone it's really no fun barefoot in the snow ;-;. So here is another photo from animaco this year.

For quite a few minutes I have been looking at Jack Frost cosplays, and I've been trying to find the one that reaches out to me and makes me see Jack the most in it. And THIS. this is just it. I scanned across the thumbnail and couldn't help but click it.
Kudos on this, you got it right on with Jacks personality: Laid back and cool.
The pose is great, flawless, haven't seen any other cosplays doing this pose so it's quite original to me so far.
The setting is expected, but hey, it's also perfect.

This is the best cosplay I'll probably ever see of Jack Frost. It's just him. Plain and simple.
And holy crap- they actually looks like Jack Frost.
The costumes is awesome and very accurate too.
I don't think there is actually snow or frost on the trees, but you can't tell at first glance unless you are really examining the picture like I am right now. It captures his personality very well. Did you go off of an actual screen shot of the movie? The pose is HIM as well.

Thank you soooooo much, dear!!! I'm sooo happy that you like this cosplay and wrote this wonderful critique! When we made this shoot the movies wasn't at the cinemas (so I only knew the trailers). so it was not so easy to find the right poses for him. But I'm so lucky that we made it right!

This is a really well done cosplay of Jack Frost. Out of most of the Jack Frost cosplays I've seen, this picture actually depicts the character's sense of belonging and his self centered personality. I felt drawn mostly to the facial expression. It is rather unique. The cosplayer in this picture seems to be rather calm and has the perception of thinking about something.
The jacket is not overly done and the staff looks accurate to the film's pictures. I think this cosplayer and the photographer did a great job. They picked a well balanced scenery and the cosplayer did a wonderful job at portraying the character, Jack Frost.

I honestly think this is the best cosplay I've seen of him so far. For starters, you got the costume right. That's a major deal. Second, I know cosplayers are usually girls as guys but here (I don't mean this in a bad way) I can't really tell because of your perfect positioning. The gender gets in the way of the big picture. I think you captured the right angle and perfect perspective. And third, the background a massive win; It's the perfect balance of winter colors in the picture; Blue, beige/brown, and white. I want to say this is a perfect cosplay. I'm sure it will be hard beat how high you've set the bar for people not using effects.

And while crossplaying it's a great commendation that I look not girlish with the costume (I think that is also the photographers hard work, made a WONDERFUL job while I was sitting there and complaining that I will fall off ;-P). Hi there! Sorry for my late reply! The sweater? I buyed a normal sweater and coloured it two times that it was the blue I wanted, after that I worked with snow spray and some Ice spray (for chrismas decoration XD) and a little bit of withe colour (but really not much). Ah..and I applied some more seams, that was all
The staff is also self made out of a stick, an aluminium staff and papier-mache (you know, old newspapers and glue mix).

I am going to my relatives house this weekend, it's been snowing like crazy, and they've got this HUGE tree in their front yard I love to climb (helpful hint: It's a lot easier to climb a tree before a downpour, not after.). So this makes me want to do a Jack Frost cosplay SOOO BADLY but I can't X( But I can settle for looking at yours.Β

I want to make Frost's sweatshirt someday (just the sweatshirt, I know I'm weird), so I wanted to know how you did the frost. It's really nice, just enough, not too much. Did you paint it or use spray paint?

I jealous! We have TONNS of snow every year (ansd it's cold and wet and means lot of work v.v)...buuut..psst..there was no snow while we shoot this

You'd laugh at us then. We're total wimps when it gets cold. It only snows in the mountains and I live fairly close to the beach so the coldest it gets at night is maybe 50s F. Of course that DOES make it easier for the Jack Frosts to walk around barefoot at conventions in the winter XD I'd like to make Jack's sweatshirt just so I can wear it for the heck of it but I want to cosplay Tooth so I can run around asking all the Jacks if I can see their teeth ;3 If you ever somehow make it out to America you'll have to come and do pictures with me~~

The staff was fun to make. I took a wood staff and fixed a aluminium staff at the end (wich I bring to the right form). Then I worked with papier mache to create the outer layer. Hope this will help!!!
