Italian is the obvious official language of Sicily, but it's extremely common for Sicilians to be bilingual, fluent in Sicilian, a dialect that has been spoken in the region throughout history.

Sicily is extremely diverse, which is why so many languages are spoken there! The history of Sicily, with so many influences coming and going, and not only impacted the population, but also the languages and culture. There are words in Sicilian borrowed from the languages listed above, which is one of the reasons I've put them there. While Marianna is not fluent in all of them, she does have a basic understanding of most of them. Mostly Spanish, French, Greek, and Maltese, out of all of them.

Appearance:

Marianna's appearance is meant to reflect common appearances of Sicilian women, the influences on the region throughout history, and still have her own unique look to her.

Starting with her hair, she has long, messy curls, being 3a curls that reach her mid back, which is common for Sicilians, often from African lineage. She tends to prefer to leave her hair down, figuring it's the easiest for her. Sometimes she will straighten her hair, but that will still leaving it with a sort of wavy look to it. It's a dark brown color, which is very common for Sicilians, but still holds a sort of light, reddish undertone to it, primarily from Norman influence. Protruding from the left side of her hair, is a triangular shaped curl, which is meant to represent the trinacria, a symbol that has been prominent in Sicily dating back to the Greeks. It even has it's place on the flag, with the symbol in the middle ( the legs of the medusa head form triangles ). It is meant to mimic the shape of the island.

Her eyes are amber-brown, not very dark, but not extremely light. The eye color is common with Sicilians, and Italians in general.

Marianna's skintone is Mediterranean, landing as a type iv on the Fitzpatrick scale. Being of Phoenicia and Ancient Greece, and with the numerous influences in Sicily with dark skin, and her life living in such a sunny - naturally her skin is very dark. She also has moles/beauty marks littered across her skin, and sunspots as well. A more apparent mole/beauty mark is one on the left side of her face, beside her nose.

Marianna is short, standing at 5'3, with a curvy figure and d cup boobs. she weighs around 156 lbs, having a nice butt and a pudgy tummy to accompany her curves.
