Description My attempt at making a map look old. Many Tolkien fans may say that I forgot the moon runes, and they would be correct. I will be putting them in later but the only to see them will be with a black light. this was made on watercolor paper with ink pens, coffee and apples for the aging process. Hope you all like it.

Thank you very much. It was a lot of fun. Just rub th apple in certain places and see what effect they may have. there is alot of acid in apple.

This is fantastic! I've had my eye on doing this for years. I seem to remember reading somewhere that the directions on the compass rose should be red also, like the image of Smaug.

I'm thinking of the map from the original 1937 hardback, which was featured as the front and back endpapers. On that map, Smaug, the compass directions, the rune indicating the secret door, and the runes underneath the pointing hand on the left are all in red. If you do an image search for 'Thror's Map' you'll see several examples rendered in that way. Sorry - I didn't mean it to be a critique. Yours is absolutely the most beautiful version I've seen.
