Description Registered Name: Foxwynne Akheilos
Gender: Stallion
Age: 5 years (Year 1)
Height: 15.2hh
Build: Solidly built but not excessive, of a good 'cobby' weight with a good level of refinement.
Breeder: NPC
Breed: Welsh Cob D
Bloodlines: Mihangel Flash Jack x Dearnvalley Maggie May ((Foundation))
Phenotype: Flaxen liver chestnut
Eyes: Golden brown
Genotype: ee Aa ff
Temperament:
Can be a little forward/sensitive under saddle, but is extremely responsive to the handlers commands - requires a very quiet rider. Goes well in harness also.

Has excellent ground manners, is extremely calm and gentlemanly, rarely spooks and is happy to stand for hours to be groomed or to wait.

Is very rarely aggressive to other horses, but seems to have a leadership quality in the herd – every horse wants to spend time with him.

Mud puppy, loves playing around in water and is very happy to go running around cross country in the pelting rain.

This horse is used in stallion halter classes and low-level dressage. He also works well under harness alongside Astraeus, but is extremely fond of fast hacking and has a good ability over natural obstacles.

Training: Was given basic training as a youngster and came to us for breaking as a 3 year old, here he was slowly broken and trained in dressage, and also later introduced to harness.

Timeline: Was brought to Foxwynne as a 3 year old, but will come into a true story line as a 5 year old. During these two years, he was broken and progressed well in stallion halter classes, as well as low level dressage. He has recently begun training in harness and is generally worked as a pair with Astraeus.
Offspring: None
Availability: Open to any mares, please contact us if you would like to use him!

I totally didn't just stalk him...
officially my favourite horse (pony...) on DA. (other than my own)

I'm seriously obsessed!

I worship Akhelios

Amazing shading and lovely built. It looks really amazing and lovely that people work with ponies, instead of only horses

Thank you very much Yeah I started HARPG with welsh cobs (admittedly the tallest section D but still close enough XD) because they're a breed I know and work with a lot in real life ^^ It's nice enough having all these fancy dressage warmbloods, but something closer to home is much more fun for me
Do kinda want a fun little shetland too lol

He's definitely the character that's been with me for the longest time, so it's fantastic realising actually how much I've drawn him lol

Thank you <3 So glad to hear that - I always struggle to keep expression in horses when I try to draw them a little more seriously lol

Oh now you're just spoiling me

I mean dang, he is just such a nommy nommy fellow, such a gorgeous color.  Pretty neat layout, kinda tempts me to make fancy stud sheets for some of my own stallions... but that's work

Rosalaun In reply to Helsinge [2013-10-11 16:04:07 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I messed up on his geno - he was a silver dilute which isn't a proper welshie colour xD So he's vanished for now until I figure out what I can do to fix that xD

Helsinge In reply to Rosalaun [2013-10-11 16:07:36 +0000 UTC]

Sooty palomino?  I dunno   You have such purdy welshies though

Rosalaun In reply to Helsinge [2013-10-11 16:09:26 +0000 UTC]

Hah well it was silver buckskin
Here's one image: foxwynne.weebly.com/uploads/1/…
All I can really think to do is just change him to a palomino or a buckskin, and pretend he never had the wrong mane/tail or leg colour lol
Thank you <3 I miss my old welshie charries, tis about time I tried to bring them back!

Helsinge In reply to Rosalaun [2013-10-11 16:13:04 +0000 UTC]

Bah, he could pass for a palomino with localized sootiness I'm sure xD  But whatever you think is best!
