Temperament:
Very strong under saddle, acts up a lot during slow work, especially if being asked to do tasks he already knows. Is easily bored, but is much better when learning a new task or being asked to focus very hard on his work.

On the ground, he tends to get quite impatient, presumably due to boredom, but tends to stand perfectly during busy environments, such as at shows or important events – he picks up very easily on when ‘big’ things are to happen.

Tends to be very mature in the herd, if the leader isn’t there most will wish to spend time with him instead, but he prefers to stay out of any arguments regarding the herd hierarchy.

He seems to have a huge enjoyment from drama, theatrics and big events, he thrives under pressure and in situations where he is mentally put to the test. He also enjoys pushing himself and due to his innate braveness, sometimes performs feats other horses would shy from.

Jackaar is used in a range of sports – he performs extremely well cross country and loves the high-speed challenges that face him. He also works exceptionally well in hunting (both dragon and fox), and while he can be convinced to do dressage-like moves, his love of over collecting, bouncing on the spot and performing quick, sharp turns means that pure dressage is far too slow paced and boring for him.

Training: Cross Country, Hunting (Dragon and Fox), Haute École.
Timeline: Arrived at Foxwynne as a 5 year old from Ravesport Stables, having previously been imported.
