Temperament:
Quite opinionated during exercise, tends to believe that her own ideas are far better than anything her handler could ask of her. Because of this, she tends to be slow to learn new tasks, as she spends most of the time trying to figure out how to avoid doing anything asked.

Seems to get great pleasure from threatening to kick or bite handlers, often making a game out of it, but she never actually causes any harm. Generally if a person pretends they don’t notice her threats, she’ll get bored and stand quietly.

Tries to act dominant with the other horses – constantly questions authority, but is ordinarily put in her place by the older mares quite quickly. She is usually the primary source of any scuffles in the fields, and tends to come in most days with some new scratch or mark.

She loves to pretend to be spooked during work, even making up excuses (such as that open stable door she’s passed a thousand times) to go bucking and rearing down the aisle. Despite all her playing and messing around, she is a very hard working horse when put to the test, but is much happier when she’s spend long periods of time exercising and moving around than she is being asked to use her brain.

Lenika is primarily used for long-distance events, where her mind finally focuses and she settles well into her work. She performs well alone, and enjoys very long hacks.

Training: Currently in basic handling and desensitising.
Timeline: Came to Foxwynne at 6 months old, basic training.
