Description
Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog is a show that I only checked out thanks to YouTube Poops. I saw so many clips of the show (especially the infamous “PINGAS” clip) in those videos that I wanted to see what the original context was. The show is so dumb, but I find it entertainingly dumb. Scratch and Grounder always provided some fun antics, and the not-so-good Doctor Robotnik is always fun to see how delightfully hammy he is. Plus, the “Sonic Sez” segments are pretty memorable.
I thought I’d draw Cheesecake in the show’s style. The show is definitely very colorful and cartoony, something that Cheesecake likes to reflect in her artwork. Breezie from “Lovesick Sonic” seemed like the best character to use as reference. Both she and Cheesecake are very curvy. Rather than going with Breezie’s high heels, though, I went with Sonic’s sneakers. I also used Tails as reference for her hair, particularly her ponytail. Also, because I used Sonic’s hand for reference for her left hand, I thought I’d use the cuff of his glove for designing her wristbands.
