I like to think that every Christmas, Burnside crawls into the vents of the compound and attempts to reenact the movie Die Hard.So if you've never seen it, you probably don't get any of the jokes...
The joke was originally just Steve in the vents, talking to Wesker, but I had to add in Krauser just for the gag in the end.

I like the idea of this! It's funny, and I like the way you drew Wesker and Steve.

In Die Hard, the sleazy guy, Ellis, who tries to talk to Hans (Alan Rickman) and says to him, when he explains that he can help him get McClane:
"Hans, BOOBIE, I'm your white knight!" ([link] )
Steve is imitating and quotes parts of the movie and talking as if Wesker is the Hans Gruber to his John McClane.
So Krauser references Ellis, saying, "Wesker, boobie"

Eh, I imagine Burnside to still have, in his late teens and early twenties, the impressionable mindset of a seven year old boy.
And if Krauser doesn't have to get involved (or get Steve out of the air ducts), I'm sure that he finds the whole situation pretty funny.

Being the younger, and obviously in his game, most immature protagonist of RE, I like to imagine Burnside being stupid and impressionable (which, if he was in the series a little longer, would probably have been canon).
